Appetite is back. Almost back on track!
In lieu of all the above, I'm testing the waters and taking my neglected, pink bike friend out for a spin. Haven't ridden her in ages. Okay, that just sounded dirty. Anyway, I miss riding my bike, but have several reasons why I haven't ridden it lately:
1. It hurts my butt. Srsly.
2. I live on a No Outlet road but am still afraid of getting plowed over by idiot drivers. There have been too many cases like this recently. I'm paranoid.
3. I live too far away to bike to the bike path, but don't have anyway to transport my bike to the path.
Now for three ways to fix the whine above:
1. Padded bike shorts
2. Cycle without headphones on, facing oncoming traffic. Be alert!
3. Buy a freakin' bike rack for your Jeep, Glam!
The End. See? You can do anything if you put your mind to it! ;)

I agree with buying a bike rack, but please don't ride against traffic. That's *how* most people get hit because they think it's safer.
But definitely riding without headphones (that's illegal here, as it should be everywhere)
I hope you got out and rode though! Biking is such a fantastic low impact exercise!
To be fair, I live on a No Outlet. The traffic is minimal, but I agree with the comment about not riding against traffic. Because when I thought about it, I always see bikers riding *with* traffic. Duh, Glam.
I have some bike fear too. I say try to get a rack and go to some safer spots until you gets your biking wits about you again.
I am afraid to ride a bike on the road too; the only time I ever used to ride was on bike trails in the National Park we camped in every summer while I was growing up. I miss that. But I'm still afraid to go out and ride on the roads.
